Community Outreach

Viking Commercial Construction has a vested interest in our local community, not only from a construction perspective, but it is also one of our company’s beliefs to serve and give back to our community. VCC staff members are all active in several non-profit organizations as well as actively serving on boards of industry related associations. Our President/Owner, Bill Larson, is currently (and has been for over a decade), an active board member on the Boys & Girls club of Carlsbad. VCC as a team has also participated in the Baja Challenge (building houses for the homeless in Mexico), Habitat for Humanity, and Stand Up for Kids (a charity that is in its infancy stages, aiding homeless teens to get their lives on track); as well as participated in several charity functions for HomeAid and the YWCA.

Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad

Viking Commercial Construciton is a corporate sponsor every year and our owner, Bill Larson, sits on the Board of Directors. The facility is availiable to children who can’t afford or may lack access to other community programs.

Habitat for Humanity

Assists the community by creating affordable homes for low-income families. This faith-based organization works with families to create a better community through the construction of homes for those in need. Viking CC helps with the construction of these homes and our latest project was completed in just 1 week to build a home.

Baja Christian Ministries

Organization that assists the poor through the organized mission trips to Baja California, Mexico. With the assistance from these mission teams, this group spreads the gospel of Jesus while building weather-proof housing for those in need. Viking CC assisted the organization to build a house in 1 day.

Stand Up For Kids

Non-profit organization that sends volunteers to help rescue the homeless youth. Stand Up For Kids runs different programs that work with schools and homeless children to improve their lifestyles and well being. Viking CC makes donations on a monthly basis and has helped to remodel their current location.

YMCA

Viking helps to raise critical financial support and awareness for the YWCA’s comprehensive domestic violence and homelessness programs, including Becky’s House, Passages and Cortez Hill Family Center. Annual events include the signature In The Company of Women Spring luncheon event and the spectacular “Are You Man Enough To Walk a Mile” event in the Fall.

The Station (Mammoth)

Non-profit youth camp that seeks to transform children by exposing them to outdoor sports and recreational activities. Viking CC donates funds on a monthly basis.

Special Olympics
